1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12-ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
2. Cream butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large bowl. Beat in eggs.
3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Gradually beat into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
4. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
5. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
