– 1 box of instant yellow cake mix
– 1 cup of coconut milk
– 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
– 3 large eggs
– 1 tsp of coconut extract
– 1/2 cup of sweetened coconut flakes
– 1 cup of powdered sugar
– 3-4 tbsp of coconut milk


1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the instant yellow cake mix, coconut milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and coconut extract. Mix all the ingredients together using an electric mixer until a smooth batter forms.
3. Fold in the sweetened coconut flakes and transfer the batter to a greased 9-inch (23cm) cake pan.
4. Bake the cake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Allow the cake to cool down for 5-10 minutes before removing it from the cake pan and transferring it onto a wire rack.
6. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and coconut milk until a smooth glaze forms.
7. Drizzle the glaze over the cake while it’s still warm.
8. You can garnish the cake with additional coconut flakes and serve once the glaze has set.
