Do you have a craving for a classic Tres Leches Cake but are avoiding dairy? Well, we have a solution for you! This Dairy Free Tres Leches Cake recipe is just as decadent and delicious as the original, but without any of the dairy.


For the Cake:

-1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
-1 tsp Baking Powder
-1/2 tsp Salt
-1/2 cup Vegan Butter
-1 cup Granulated Sugar
-3 Egg Replacements (such as applesauce or silken tofu)
-1 tsp Vanilla Extract
-1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

For the Tres Leches Mixture:

-1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
-1 cup Coconut Milk
-1 can of Coconut Cream
-1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
-1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For the Whipped Topping:

-1 can of Coconut Cream, chilled overnight
-1 tsp Vanilla Extract
-1-2 tbsp Powdered Sugar


1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, cream together vegan butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in egg replacements and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.

4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and almond milk until a smooth batter forms.

5. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6. While the cake is baking, prepare the Tres Leches Mixture. In a medium saucepan, whisk together almond milk, coconut milk, coconut cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly.

7. When the cake is finished baking, remove it from the oven and use a fork to poke holes all over the surface of the cake. Pour the Tres Leches Mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.

8. Let the cake cool completely. Meanwhile, prepare the Whipped Topping. Open the chilled can of coconut cream and scoop the solid cream into a bowl. Add in vanilla extract and powdered sugar and whip with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

9. Once the cake is cooled, spread the whipped topping over the surface of the cake. Serve chilled and enjoy!
