Shahi Tukda is a popular Indian dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with bread slices that are fried until golden and crispy, and then soaked in a sweet, creamy milk mixture. This dessert is garnished with chopped nuts, saffron strands, and sometimes even with edible silver foil.

Ingredients:
– Bread slices – 6
– Ghee – for deep-frying
– Milk – 1 litre
– Sugar – 1 cup
– Saffron strands – a few
– Green cardamom powder – 1 tsp
– Chopped nuts – to garnish

Method:
1. Cut the crusts off the bread slices and cut them diagonally.
2. Heat ghee in a deep pan and fry the bread slices till golden and crisp.

5. Cook on low flame till the milk thickens and reduces to half its original quantity.

7. Remove from the milk and place the slices on a serving platter.
8. Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron strands.
9. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
