1 cup Basmati Rice

2 cups of water

2. Add the rinsed rice to a pot, along with 2 cups of water and a tablespoon of butter or oil.

4. Bring the pot to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.

5. Cover the pot with a lid and let the rice simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is fluffy and the water has been absorbed.

6. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and serve hot.
