My Kind of Choc Chip Cookies

These cookies are a dream come true. They’re thin, chewy and oh so chocolatey. What’s more, they’re so easy to make. Here’s what you’ll need:

• 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ cup butter
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until they are light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Now stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Using a cookie scoop on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, scoop the dough into small haystacks, about 1 tablespoon or so per cookie. Gently press down the cookie dough with a fork to flatten it slightly. Bake for 8-10 minutes and cool for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack. Enjoy!
