It’s been a while since our family had a road trip. Since my son had a school holiday so we decided to take a short trip to Lovina in Singaraja, located in the northern part of Bali.
THE TRIP

From our house in North Kuta, it took about 3 hours drive to reach Lovina. We drove through Bedugul and Munduk; and went through Tigawasa Village with amazing scenery. And once we arrived at Lovina, we were welcomed by the beautiful crystal blue sea.
ARRIVAL
For this trip, we stayed at Sing Sing Resort Lovina, located near the Sing Sing waterfall. Once we arrived, we were quite stunned by the view. This resort was located on a hill with several villas with a gorgeous view of the sea.

The staffs were nice and friendly, they gave us a warm welcome as we arrived and immediately lead us to our room.
THE ROOM
The room was more like a wooden cabin with its own private infinity pool with an amazing view of the hill. It was clean and neat, with a semi open-air bathroom with quite rustic design, and don’t expect to see TV here :). Also, quite a surprise for us turns out this room doesn’t have AC haha. However, we decided to give it a try because the wind is quite breezy.

After swimming, we decided to sit at the porch to relax; all of a sudden a small group of monkeys were sitting and playing on the lawn next to our room. They were cute and doesn’t disturb us at all unlike the monkeys we used to see in Ubud or Uluwatu.

As I said before, we decided to see if we can sleep without AC. Unfortunately, even though the wind was flowing into the room, still the air was a bit humid and hot so we cannot sleep properly. So, on the second day, we decided to move to another room that has AC.

THE VILLA
The owner was nice and allow us to move to one of the villas. We rented the 2 bedroom villa, it has a living room and its own infinity pool. The villa was quite spacious and nice, and the most important thing is we have AC in our room haha. Unfortunately, we didn’t take photos of the villa, but we took the photo of the view from our pool, it was mesmerizing.

DINING
During our stay, we don’t really go out of this resort, we just want to sit back and relax. So during 3 days stay we dine here. We’re quite surprised that the food tastes really good, and come with a really generous portion too.

The owner of this resort was Indonesian and Dutch couple, they decided to retire, start this resort and stay in Bali. Occasionally they would stop by and talk with us, they were so friendly and nice. And we love how the staff and the owner make us feel like we’re staying in a family’s house instead of a hotel, it was such a warm and homey feeling that we rarely can find in most of the hotel in Bali.
