Jambuwuk Hotel & Resorts are one of Indonesian local hotel chain with several properties around Java and in Gili Trawangan has added another property in Seminyak to their portfolio. Jambuluwuk Oceano Seminyak Hotel located in the heart of Seminyak area strategically sits near by the trendy Petitenget’s shopping, culinary, leisure, and nightlife.

Entering the lobby it was elegantly decorated in white with some batik’s accent. After the checked-in procedure, we headed to our room and we spotted the main swimming pool on the lower level, it was set in a lush tropical garden with artificial waterfall and a slide that heads to their kids’ pool.

ROOM

Our room was located on the 1^st floor not far from the lobby area; it was the Deluxe Premium Room with a balcony overlooking the main pool. The room was decorated in modern elegant design that embraces Indonesian ethnic accents. The size of the room itself not really big and it has a mini living room, but it’s really cozy and with its warm tone gives a relaxing ambiance to this room.

The bathroom not too big but it has shower and bathtub on one side and toilet on the other end of the bathroom. However, for us who travels with a toddler, the bathtub is a bit too high for my son to be able to get inside the bathtub by himself.

HOTEL FACILITIES

KIDS CLUB

As I mentioned earlier this hotel has the main pool and kids’ pool on the lower level, next to the main pool is their kid’s club with an exciting indoor jungle gym playground that includes mini wall climbing, slides, etc; and various toys and games that stimulate children’s imaginations and creativities.

We feel quite safe to leave our son to play on their kid’s club since they have recreation staff who will supervise our son while he plays. But they also provide baby sitter service with an additional fee if the guests need it.

SPA

The Spa was located on their roof top next to the Clubhouse rooftop restaurant, infinity rooftop pool, and fitness center. The spa therapy rooms were non-AC but it’s really breezy. I had their Exotic Jambuluwuk massage therapy; it was 90 minutes traditional massage treatment complete with hot stone massage.

Asides from their traditional massage treatments Melah Spa also offer anti-aging facial, manicure & pedicure, hair care treatment and much more.

DINING

For dining, they have 2 restaurants with a different concept. One on the roof top called The Clubhouse is their main restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner focusing on Indonesian and Asian cuisine with several signature menus that highlight some Indonesian traditional street food such as Sego Luwuk, Sego Ndeso, Mie Cakalang and much more.

Daily breakfast buffet for the guest also served here at The Clubhouse, for breakfast they also serve their Indonesian signature dishes along with other international breakfast dishes.

The other restaurant is an artisan gourmet restaurant called Frestro Restaurant & Bar (read here) which located in front of the hotel. Frestro menus were crafted by one of Indonesia’s rising chef Mandif  Warokka, focusing on international cuisine made from the finest ingredients produce and grow by the local farmers. With an open bar design, this restaurant also creates great selections of cocktails and liquors.

Overall we really enjoy our stay here, the room is nicely designed and really cozy makes it hard for us to go back to our daily routine :). Though our room was located close by to the club next door we don’t hear any music blaring to our room.
