Kuta: Fun Family Holiday at The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali

Kuta were known as one of the first tourists’ areas in Bali, popular for its beaches, party centers with all its bars and clubs and one of the popular destinations for backpacker travelers. But for travelers Kuta still have those magical appeals for the entertainment, shopping and culinary. That’s why Kuta attracts more tourists not only the backpakers.

Once we enter the lobby we can feel the lavishness of Nusa Dua in Kuta with its charming contemporary Balinese architecture, grand lobby and friendly smiles from the staff.

The location itself were quite strategic, close by to some shopping malls and arcades, restaurants, entertainments and only few minutes drives from the airports. Although this hotel were situated in one of the busy streets in Kuta, but it was far from the noise of Kuta.

Room

For our staycation we stayed in their Premier King Lagoon Access room, this room is located on the first floor close by to the lobby. It was a modern design room decorated in neutral color with Balinese accent, the room itself quite spacious equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, table and chair; and smart TV (IPTV) so no need to look for any compendium box just turn on the TV and you can find any information that you need including the room service menu.

This room has its own private terrace that has direct access to the 1,2 meter deep pool lagoon. Each terrace has a chair and a sofa, great for relaxing. The great thing about having direct access to the pool lagoon is that my son can swim whenever he wants and not too many people swim on it. Aside from the pool lagoon, they also have some pools in the middle of the property and close by to the beach where their recreation attendants also offer some activities like water polo, volley ball, etc.

Dining

As for dining option The Anvaya has two restaurants, Sands restaurant a beach front restaurant with contemporary design located close by to one of the main pool. It has indoor dining area surrounded by glass door and outdoor area which perfect for afternoon sunset session.

Sands is their all day dining restaurant, where they serve breakfast buffet with some live cooking stations in their open kitchens and extensive menu variety from Indonesian cuisine, Balinese cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Pizza station, noodle station, dim sum station, bread and pastry, traditional Balinese desserts, and many more. They also separate the pork and non-pork station and the entire dishes name were clearly written.

The other restaurant is Kunyit restaurant that located in front area of this hotel, with contemporary and traditional ambiance. Kunyit restaurant is their Indonesian and Balinese restaurant, offers classic dishes such as Soto Ayam, Nasi Campur and many more. But their specialty is their Megibung, a traditional Balinese family eating style where family members sits together and discuss ideas while eating together on a big plate with several dishes.

Facilities

The Anvaya has many facilities to spoil their guests like their Sakanti Spa to rejuvenate our body and soul that offers many spa treatments for individuals, couples, mother and daughter, also father and sons.

And if mommy and daddy would like a quality time together, don’t worries the little one can play at the The Anvaya Kids Club that located on the first floor close to the lobby. This colorful and fun kids club designed for children from 4-12 years old, with professional attendee that will fully supervise their little guest while they are playing. The kids club offers several activities such as traditional games, craft making, dance lessons, cooking class and many more.

They also provide extensive toys to play with, console games, library with a cozy ready corner. Aside from the indoor kids club area they also have outdoor area with swimming pool, swings, slides and climbing area. The outdoor area were completely secure surrounded by walls and only have one access through the indoor kids club area.

During our stay I also had a chance to join one of their activity for guest, I learn how to make “canang sari” a traditional Balinese daily offering. After we make it we bring those canang sari to their temple. It was an interesting activity to introduce the Balinese tradition to guest.

As for family traveler I’m really impress with all the facilities and services they provide, a good comfortable room, fully supervise kids club, delicious food and its serene ambiance remembering how busy their area is :).
