#Bali, We had a chance to spend our weekend at a new resort located in Jimbaran bay, The Sintesa Jimbaran. It took about 45 minutes’ drive from our house in Kerobokan, along the ride they provide us with some refreshments and cold towels, a small and thoughtful gesture to start our staycation, and all we gotta do is just sit back, relax and enjoy our ride to the resort. Finally we arrived at this spacious white lobby it was decorated with beautiful Balinese carving on the ceiling and on the doors behind their reception area, dominated with red, black and gold colors on the furniture really accentuate the Balinese touch on the lobby. They served us with this thirst quenching welcome drinks and cold towels as I proceed with the check-in procedure, while my son seems to occupied himself by feeding the fish on their fish pond with the reception staff who kindly accompanied my son.
This resort were located on a quiet hill that enables us to see Jimbaran Bay, beautiful ocean view also the airport from here. With its secluded location I think it’s a great place for hideaway, honeymoon or even just a relaxing holiday, yet it still close by to the famous seafood Jimbaran eatery at Jimbaran bay and some fascinating attractions.
Our room was located on the 5th floor it was a really spacious room, as we entered the room we found a small walk-in closet on one side and an en-suite on the other side with white bath tub and shower booth with big window that separate this bathroom and bedroom area gives an open atmosphere to this bathroom. The room was furnished with a cozy king size bed, also fully equipped with tea and coffee maker, mini bar, desk, 2 seater couch, coffee table and flat screen TV with satellite channels. It has a balcony that facing over the swimming pool.
The BARber were situated next to the swimming pool, a masculine and bold lounge decorated like the classic 1920’s gentlemen’s club, leather couch, dark wooden panels, pool table and baby grand piano on the corner. They have a wide-range cigar brands, single malt, whiskey and liquor collections here, behind the bar they have a secret door that reveals the location of their barber shop, which reminds me on the movie about Al Capone during the 20’s when alcohol was prohibited they use to have a hidden door that connects to a secret club.
And as for our dining experience here, no doubt it was magnificent. Combining his national and international experiences in culinary industry, excellent choices of ingredients and creative and great cooking skill; the chef prepared us some exquisite lunch and dinner set menu. His beautifully cooked lamb cutlet, his chamomile smoke foie gras and potato gnocchi’s creation are simply unforgettable. Not to mention those delectable chocolate lava cake, warm, chocolaty and fudgy cake that kinda hard to resist.
Did I mention that this resort was kids friendly? Well, they are. They really attentive toward children, and my son really love spending his time at their Kids Creative Room (that’s how they called their kids club). This room was surrounded with white walls and colorful murals on 2 sides and glass walls on the other 2 sides, makes this room looks bright and those colorful puffy seating area boost the cheerful and creative mood (actually this room reminds me of IKEA’s catalogue :)). In this room they do not install any electronic devices, they focus more on expressing children’s creativity through many medium such as play-doh, painting, crafting and many more.
As for the activity around the resort, if you love yoga you can choose rejuvenating sunrise or sunset yoga activity. Some relaxing spa treatment, sauna, Jacuzzi, pumping up at the fitness studio or just relax by the pool also can be an option to spend your days while staying here. My husband and I had a chance to experience Balinese Massage here while my son was having fun playing at Kids’ Creative Room accompanied by their staff. It was so relaxing and revitalizing, release all the tenses on my shoulder. It was great to spend a quiet and serene hour alone being pampered :).
When we stay here, this resort was not fully operated and for breakfast they gave us a set of breakfast choices menu. Even it’s only comprises of some breakfast selections yet it all tasty, and they even have juice of the day which combines from some fruit choices.
Overall The Sintesa Jimbaran has successfully makes me want to spend more time in the resort instead exploring the surrounding area like what I usually do. It was a perfect relaxing staycation with warm and friendly service.
