(Bahasa Indonesia) You might familiar with phrase that says “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”, well for me is more like “breakfast is my favorite meal of the day” since I love most breakfast food and I can spend my peaceful dining time while my son is at school (everyday mommy issue 🙂 )

On this post I will share some breakfast spots in Bali. Most of it were in Seminyak and Canggu area, hopefully I can add more for the other areas on the island.

1. Fat Turtle, Seminyak

This is one of the fast growing artisan coffee shop in Petitenget, Seminyak. They serve all day breakfast menu include favorite Indonesian breakfast like nasi goreng (fried rice). My favorite menu here is Red Velvet Pancake, fluffy stack of red velvet pancake with cream cheese would really make my day. Beside this red velvet pancake they also made their monthly limited edition pancake like what they once made are green tea pancake and blackforest ovomaltine pancake,

Overall they design this café with recycled furniture such as table from steel drums and others. Not only known for their good coffee and tantalizing breakfast menu, Fat Turtle also known for their warm and friendly service (Full Review).

2. Milk & Madu, Canggu

Milk & Madu might be one of the favorite café to try in Canggu area. Using an open traditional Javanese Joglo house creates a breezy atmosphere on this café.  The Madu is one of the favorite menu here, toasted bread with poached egg, mashed avocado, onion jam, homemade hollandaise sauce plus the perfect crispy bacon :), no doubt it would taste great. Friendly service, good food, good coffee and great ambiance no doubt that’s what makes this place a favorite café on this area. (Full Review)

3. Lost & Found, Canggu

Still from Canggu, Lost & Found also one of my favorite place to enjoy Indonesian breakfast. Though they only have some Indonesian selections, but my favorite here area Mie Pangsit Jalanan (Wonton Noodle) and Bubur Ayam Jakarta (Chicken Porridge). Bubur Ayam Jakarta is a warm savory tasty and rich porridge made from rice, topped with shredded chicken, and some condiments.

4. 3Three Café, Seminyak

This café were located in Petitenget, Seminyak under a tattoo parlour, my first visit here I notice the big tattoo signage rather than the café signage. They serve healthy breakfast menu and some vegetarian menu. For a meat lover like me, I can easily eat one of their vegetarian menu Veggie Stack which consist of beautifully stacked vegetables with lovely flavors. They also serves fresh juice and smoothies, instead of using sugar to add sweetness of the smoothies they use dates and it brings unique different flavor to their smoothies. (Full Review)

5. Ruko Café, Canggu

Still about healthy food, a healthy and refreshing Pitaya Bowl at Ruko Café that located in pantai berawa Canggu also one of my favorite spot for breakfast. Pitaya bowl is like a smoothies but beautifully arrange in a bowl, filled with blended dragon fruit (pitaya), mixed berries, acai and banana with fresh apple juice; topped with granola, coconut flakes, slices of bananas and strawberries.

6. Monsieur Spoon

If you’re looking for some French pastry most people would told you to go to Monsieur Spoon, no doubt you will find tasty and fresh pastries there. Now Monsieur Spoon have 3 outlets located in Canggu, Umalas and Seminyak; my favorite are their shop Canggu where I can cozily seat on their garden and enjoy my breakfast. One of my favorite here is their Chocolatine, flaky pastry filled with melted chocolate.. Just love it 🙂

7. Uma Kopi, Drupadi Seminyak

Tired being surrounded by walls? Here’s a place where you can enjoy a cup of good coffee and good food in an open air café. Sets in a garden with lush big trees really create a breezy ambiance and makes me wanna stay longer on this café. Serves a house blend coffee bean from local Indonesian bean surely gives a signature taste to their coffee.

Breakfast would be perfect with coffee and croissant, but other than that you can try their Panini Sandwich with bedugul salad, it’s a toast panini served with pesto grilled chicken and fresh balsamic salad.
